Seo Tools

The word free is awesome. Especially when whatever word “free” is giving you extra traffic, money, rank, reputation, money, etc. Thankfully there are a ton of free tools in the SEO world. The downside is that some of these free devices are junk.

Here, I want to give you a collection of top free SEO tools. They are simple, clever, effective, powerful, and best of all – they are absolutely free.

1. Google Analytics

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is for online marketers just like oxygen is for humans. You can not live without it.

If you are not yet using Google Analytics, I suggest you start using this valuable free tool as soon as possible. There is no other data source that provides high quality and detailed information like Google Analytics. In an era dominated by Google, we have to work with it.

You cannot ignore Google Analytics. Virtually all actionable and important data about site visitors, traffic, behavior, etc. comes from this important source.

2. Google Search Console

Google Search Console

If Google Analytics is the air that makes online marketers breathe oxygen, then Google Search Console (formerly Webmaster Tools) is the water that online marketers drink.

The tool is for more than webmasters. This is for SEO. The tool has a lot to do with “search” and “optimization”.

Some of the best information about GSC comes from just looking at the dashboard. SEO and marketers need to keep up with the dashboard on a regular basis.

Google Webmaster Tools provides some data similar to Search Console Analytics but in a simpler and more straightforward way. You can be less involved with numbers, but you can easily reach them.

3. Ubersuggest

Ubersugest is an all-in-one SEO tool designed to help you win the game of SEO. A big part of SEO success is knowing what you are doing, what your competitors are doing, and how to adjust your strategy to take advantage of holes in the market.

Starting with ubersugest is as simple as typing a domain or keyword in the search bar.

From here, you get quick access to a report for your chosen domain or keyword.

For this post, I want to focus on the keyword search capabilities of Ubersuggest. It is a great alternative to the Google Keyword Planner tool, which has lost its shine over the years.

After running a search for your primary keyword, here’s how you can use Ubersuggest to uncover related keywords to include in your content.

Step # 1: Click on “Keyword Ideas”

Click “Keyword Ideas” to move to a comprehensive report, located in the left-hand sidebar.

Step # 2: Review Results

This is where the fun begins. You have provided a long list of keywords related to your seed keyword.

There are four columns with related data for each keyword:

Volume – The average number of monthly searches for a keyword on Google.

CPC – The average cost per click for a Google ad for a keyword.

PD – Estimated competition in paid search (higher number, more competitive).

SD – Anticipated competition in biological search (higher numbers, more competitive).

While this data alone is helpful, I want you to drill deeper. let’s keep going.

Step # 3: Click on a keyword

For example, if you want to rank for the keyword phrase “content marketing agency”, click on it to reach the following.

Now, what you need to do to reach the first page of Google is not a question. This data allows you to address points such as:

How much traffic can you expect to receive for each position on page one

Number of backlinks for your page 1 contestants

Number of social shares for each URL

Use this data to create 10x better content than your competitors.

Step # 4: Filter Your Search

When you get a clear overview of related keywords, which align with your company and its goals, turn on the filter feature to narrow your search. Here’s an example.

You can set additional parameters, but this is where I like to start when searching for long-tailed keywords. You want to highlight keywords with enough search volume to move the needle, without having to focus on anything that has a very high SEO difficulty score.

Even if it cuts more than 400 keywords, you are left with 12 that match your exact criteria. The “content marketing example” is one of the best keywords on the list, despite an average monthly search volume of just 1,000. It has the ability to drive highly targeted traffic to your website, and with an SD of 17, you have a good chance of ranking.

4. MozBar

Knowledge is the name of the game with MozBar. When you think about it, there is a lot to know about the right stuff of SEO. MozBar helps you find the right stuff at a glance.

The MozBar button sits right in your browser toolbar – the place where all actions take place. Click on MozBar, and immediately generate a report on the website you are visiting.

Page analysis

You can always place the top, side, or bottom, Moser, in your browser window at all times.

The toolbar has three main categories of data – page elements, page attributes, and link data.

The page element displays the nuts-and-bolts of on-page SEO. A lot of information is accessible at a glance. You can see various tags – Title, Description, H1S, etc.

The page attributes show some bottom-surface optimization features, such as robots, rel = “canonical” and load time. Additionally, you can locate on-page link data.

The link data tab contains ranking factors and more information on the site’s links. Complete information is available with a paid subscription only.

5. SEOWorkers Analysis Tool

Website Analysis Tools

The analysis tool allows you to plug in a website URL – any website, even if it is not yours – and generate a report.

Online SEO tool

SEOWorkers do not provide anything new, but it helps save a lot of time in analysis. In addition, it provides background information on the data.

The report is quick and detailed.

Parsed page

Some data, such as HTTP headers check, is under-hood stuff you wouldn’t normally want to check.

Other analyzed features provide helpful symbols to show you whether you’re doing well, or if you need to focus on something:

Head elements

Here is the unique feature of SEOWorker. In addition to showing you SEO data, they also teach about SEO that matters. Within each analysis category, the report provides a detailed discussion, and often a video (foot mat cuts).

A keyword analysis is comprehensive. It displays head terms (single keywords), and two-, three- and four-word keyphrases (lengthening keywords).

6. WooRank

Woorank home page

At first glance, WooRank appears to be just another freemium website analyst. Upon closer inspection, however, it gives the work insight into some not-so-obvious content.

You can analyze any website, and generate a report in seconds.

WooRank first displays a “Top Preferences section”. Unfortunately, here is one of the downsides of the tool. Somehow, it thinks I have a 404 error, lacks a favicon, and is not a robots.txt file. They are all wrong.
